Snuck under 8 minute mile pace. 3.2 in 7:55 average. It felt like a 5k sprint! Still, a little bit farther and a little bit faster is always a good thing.

It's going to take some time to get consistent with running.  Newborns are unpredictable.  That will be my goal over the next few weeks, to get into a routine.  I ran 30 minutes today.  The last mile was tough.  My stamina is lacking.  But, it should improve quickly.  My pace is picking up.  7:49 average.  SLCC loop.  Haven't run that one in a while.

Setbacks.  I developed a postpartum infection over the weekend.  I was pretty sick until the antibiotics kicked in.  So, a little backward step into my return to running.

I ended up a touch farther than I planned today.  I ran 35 minutes, which turned out to be 4.5 miles exactly.  7:46 average.  Today was my first post-baby run down on the Jordan River Trail.  It was nice to expand my run outside of my neighborhood.  Beautiful morning!

I didn't run until after 10 this morning. It was hot! I was inspired by the totally insane Olympic women's 10k. Getting in shape after a long time off is hard, so I need to stay motivated. River Trail loop. I felt heavy and sluggish. 7:50 average.

The goal for my Saturday "long run" was 40 minutes.  I ran 42.  I felt stronger today than yesterday.  It probably helps that I ran a little earlier in the morning.  It feels good to be back running.  I listened to a podcast interview with Desi Linden.  I can't wait to see what she does in the marathon at the Olympics.  I'm glad the Olympics are on this week to keep me inspired.

I ran by the SLCC, with the extended loop.  Back up 2200 W.  I'm glad that I'm starting to run as fall approaches.  It is the best time of the year to run.  5.4 miles 7:46 average.

My goal for this week is 30 miles. I felt pretty good today. It felt like the first day that my running form felt a little tighter instead of all over the place. I ended up with 7:35 average. Nice morning! And way to go Emma Coburn for a bronze medal in the steeplechase in an AR time. Couple that with thre American women in the top ten in the marathon, and I would say the American women are killing it in Rio.

Five miles 7:40 average up and around Valley Park.  I did some zumba at home with youtube, but it's not the same as being in class.

I'm running So Jo Half Marathon in October, so I'm trying to slowly build my stamina.  I'm running it with my brother in law for fun.  It will mostly be just a long run that day.  But, I'm looking forward to it!  It will help keep me training and working my body back into shape.

I was up really early nursing Cali.  I decided to go to the gym rather than run in the dark.  I ran an easier effort, but a little longer.   6.1 miles.

I bit the bullet and got on the scale to see how much work I have to do to lose the baby weight.  138 pounds.  18 pounds to lose.  It's going to take awhile.  But, on the positive side, I gained 38, so 20 down already.

A little shorter today, but my first week of daily running. 4.25 miles at 7:33 average. When I got home I did a 30 minute tabata workout. Myles did it with me.

Needed a Zumba fix, so went to the gym instead of running.  Fun class!

As I started to walk out the door, Cali woke up wanting to eat.  No run.  I did a Fitness Blender HIIT cardio and core workout in my living room.  It was pretty tough considering my flabby abs.   I'm hoping I will see strength improvements over time.

I felt good and strong running today.  I like seeing my form and fitness come back.  I ran a loop through the neighborhood, down to the River Trail, up at Bullion, and then back through the neighborhood.  7:24 average.  I could feel yesterday's workout.  The soreness really kicked in the second half of the run.

6 miles.  Still a bit sore in my hips, quads, and abs.  I had to work hard to finish in time to get kids to school.  7:26 average.

Kind of flat today.  Still having trouble getting a routine down.  Cali's still a bit unpredictable with feedings.  7:35 average.  My longest run, yet!   I ran over to the gym and got on the scale.  Down 4 pounds since last weigh in.  134 lbs.  14 to go.

Had to work to get back before the kids needed to leave for school.  It's tough getting both Teren's and my runs in.  Up to Valley Park, canal road, through the neighborhood, out to 4700, up to 3200 W, to 4100S, to 2200 W and home.  New route.  I hit a 7:01 mile today!  7:27 average.

Short on time.  More of a tempo effort.  After a 7:47 first mile, I picked it up.  7:12, 6:55, 7:15, 6:55 for a 7:13 average.  It was some work, though.  I'm running SOJO half in October with my brother in law.  He wants to aim for sub 1:40  So, 7:30 pace for 13.1.  If I can get more consistent over the next month it should be doable.  Time to lengthen out my runs a bit.
