I haven't blogged in a while.  After Chicago I just really needed a mental break from running.  Then, I found out that I'm pregnant with Baby Jameson #4.  (Or as Lily calls the baby, Tulip Jameson.)  So, I used the opportunity to do some different things work out wise.  I've been cycling, lifting, doing Boot Camp, and Zumba.  I ran a little bit last week, and I think I'm finally ready to run regularly again.  I'm 14 weeks along, and due July 21.  I'm 8 pounds heavier (thanks Holidays.)  and getting chubbier by the day!!!

I woke up for a 5:30 Boot Camp class.   This is a tough format.  Especially when your belly is expanding.  Lots of tabata drills and jumps.  I do pretty well, but any exercise where I change levels (like burpees) make me a little dizzy.  I also did 20 minutes on the elliptical.  I may hit a 9:00 Zumba class, if I can get the kids ready shortly.

Run tomorrow!

Baby Cali Rose Jameson made her appearance on July 18. We spent an entire week in the hospital because she needed iv antibiotics. Not fun. I'm excited to get back to working out. I ran a bit during my pregnancy, but not as much as in prior pregnancies. It felt good, if a bit jiggly, running today.

I ran for 15 minutes. (It wasn't two miles, but I didn't have my garmin.) When I got home, I did a HIIT workout on YouTube. Myles did it with me.

It's going to take some time to get consistent with running.  Newborns are unpredictable.  That will be my goal over the next few weeks, to get into a routine.  I ran 30 minutes today.  The last mile was tough.  My stamina is lacking.  But, it should improve quickly.  My pace is picking up.  7:49 average.  SLCC loop.  Haven't run that one in a while.

I ended up a touch farther than I planned today.  I ran 35 minutes, which turned out to be 4.5 miles exactly.  7:46 average.  Today was my first post-baby run down on the Jordan River Trail.  It was nice to expand my run outside of my neighborhood.  Beautiful morning!

I ran by the SLCC, with the extended loop.  Back up 2200 W.  I'm glad that I'm starting to run as fall approaches.  It is the best time of the year to run.  5.4 miles 7:46 average.

Went on another adventure run, discovering new routes in beautiful  Taylorsville . I didn't get lost this time, but did end up extending my run by about two miles.  It felt great to run this morning .  7:25 average .

I knew I wasn't in shape for a good 5k. Especially after missing all of last week. There's nothing like a full demonstration of your complete lack of fitness to motivate you to get back in the game.

I warmed up three miles on the course. It was icy in several spots due to yesterday's snow storm. I decided to forgo my flats in order to maintain traction.

This is a really tough 5k course, and it was really painful. I ran 6:46 for the first mile and 6:45 for the second. I was not prepared for the hills. I finished the third downhill mile in 6:23. I was dying.

I cooled down with Tee and Devra. The highlight was catching up with them and setting up some running dates. It will be nice having running buddies again.

I feel so far away from getting fit. I will spend the rest of 2016 building up my miles and developing some consistency. Then, we'll see what kind of progress I have maee headed into 2017.

yeah, not an easy course! add cold + ice and that race is pretty treacherous. good job jumping in. 5ks are the scariest. :)

i was in utah most of last week, but i never got it together enough to make running plans with anyone. i was even thinking about signing up for this race because my nephews were running it. now i'm really sad i didn't knowing you all were there. it would have been fun to see you.

wishing you {{fast vibes}} for 2017

6-ish. My garmin died at 5.3 miles. So, guessing. I stopped to help an older gentleman pull his garbages to the curb. I almost dropped the garbage, so I don't think I was really that helpful. I had good intentions.

Maybe Zumba later if my sister in law still wants to go.

I met up with Devra for a long run. I have really missed my running buddies. The mileage seemed to fly by as we got caught up on life. I'm hoping to run with Tee snd Devra regularly. I had to add the .15 so I could hit even mileage for the week.

7:27 average. The wind was sooo cold.

Very icy run on the shoulder of the roads this morning. I had to watch my footing. Yay winter. I listened to an interview with Carrie Fisher about her Star Wars days. Very interesting.

My garmin died just as I finished in front of my house.  Perfect timing.  I really need to charge my Garmin at night.
